Inlet Chillers

Gas turbines inlet air-cooling systems allow increased power output if operating at full power. Depending on the ambient conditions, power output can be increased in between 9-11MW. To achieve such increase the chiller coils can be used to increase power. Inlet chillers cool the air intake by increasing air density and as a result engine output.

The air intake chillers can be water or air cooled. The higher efficiency is achieved by water-cooled chillers however thus require continuous makeup water supply.
